ADD VISUAL DIMENSION TO YOUR SAFETY
AUTOMATIC SEA VISION ©,
An electronic eye for sailors
The sea is not the safest place on Earth
Optical watch is the essential function to ensure safety and security of ships at sea and at anchor. In spite of all the existing onboard equipment, including radar and AIS, the number of collisions, threatening manoeuvres and pirate attacks is not decreasing.
Detecting a small rubber boat by radar is almost impossible. Only a good visual watch can detect it, and it still has to be made permanently and in the right direction!
How many collisions could be avoided, how many attacks could be repelled, if only the crew had seen them early enough ?
- A technological revolution for safety and security at sea.
It is an innovative system based both on permanent day and night all-round camera surveillance and the simultaneous automatic processing and recording of images taken in a constantly moving environment. Automatic Sea Vision (ASV) is designed to complement human visual watch, particularly in difficult conditions (at night, in fog, etc). Any dangerous or suspect approach to the vessel is detected, even in complete darkness, within a radius up to 6 nautical miles.
The optical information provided by ASV is compatible with existing detection systems such as radar and the AIS transponder. In combining data from the different systems, ASV guarantees a substantially improved level of safety.
- From automatic detection to image analysis :
The capabilities of this new system that combines a software suite coupled with optical sensors operating in the visible and infrared installed on the vessel in strategic positions, allows to detect any boat or object, day and night, which could possibly create a danger. Moreover, its user-friendly interface can be configured to activate warnings adapted to the field of use: collision avoidance, preventing threat approaches, narrow look-out, long range detection and identification
With simple deployment and configuration, ASV quickly puts the vessel under a complete state of safety and security.
- The only solution to ensure permanent infrared monitoring of approaches without additional crew.
- Multiple 360° cameras covering even blind sectors of the surrounding waters.
- A reliable alarm warning you of all approaching threats within the limits of your security perimeter.
- The ultimate collision avoidance system detec-ting even the smallest boats and obstacles.
- A significant improvement of your search capabilities in case of a man overboard.
- A permanent watch and early warning system giving you enough time to react.
(ASV) has developed a range of products adapted to your specific needs to ensure complete safety and security aboard your ship or structure: ASV 360 & ASV PTZ.
- ASV 360 provides you a clear 360° panoramic coverage of your surroundings without any blind spots. The system automatically detects any objects within your chosen perimeter and alarms you of any threats to give you complete safety and security at sea and at anchor.
- ASV PTZ provides you with sector coverage adapted to your safety and security needs.
This system can be set to automatic or manual scan of your chosen perimeter.
ASV PTZ automatically detects objects, alarms you of approaching threats and gives you the ability to point and zoom to identify the object in question. This system is great for users who need to identify objects such as coast guards.
- Panoramic thermal infrared coverage.
- Automatic detection and tracking of any non visible boat even not detected by radar.
- Radar or ECDIS interface available.
- ASV, ARPA and AIS data fusion
- Alert parameters can be specified (speed, bearing, time to "contact"...).
- Full 360° coverage or sector coverage of a security perimeter with automatic
detection within specified limits and areas.
Keeping an electronic eye on maritime threats
Available in several configurations, the ASV meets the various requirements encountered by the shipping community: anti-collision, high speed safety, coastal surveillance, search and rescue, prevention against aggression, and security of oil rigs and vessels at anchor.
The ASV meets the stringent requirements of the International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS) with the detection of all vessels in whatever configuration up to a distance of 12000 meters. Various alarm procedures may be interlinked with the ASV in order to ensure the safety of passengers and provide the crew with support. The panoramic acuity of the system and its automatic functioning complete its efficiency by reducing the surveillance limitations of a very often reduced crew contingent.
ASV Solutions covering the needs for automatic visual watch at sea:
- Automatic watch against pirate and robber attacks for a greater peace of mind in insecure areas
- Automatic visual watch for anchored vessel controlling approaches when the ship's vulnerability is high
- Permanent (24x7) automatic surveillance securing offshore production activities and crews
- Automatic coastal surveillance securing access channels and port traffic
- Automatic man detection, in harsh conditions, day and night
- Automatic collision avoidance system for a safer navigation
ASV is a technological leap forward from existing detection systems (radar, AIS transponders, etc.) because it is the only solution which combines both automatic detection and image analysis.
