Founded in 2001, under the name SEA ON LINE, Automatic Sea Vision has developed the first fully-automatic visual lookout assistance system, using innovative technology which enables 360° lookout around a ship. This system is designed to provide a computer aided complement to human lookout. It provides enhanced ship safety by detecting dangerous or suspect approaches and activating an automatic alarm, both at sea and in port.

Research since 2002 has concentrated on safety management and anti-collision systems; since 2006, further applications have been developed, particularly with respect to security measures to prevent acts of terrorism and piracy.

This patented system has won a number of awards and been granted the EURONAVAL 2008 INNOVATION TROPHY. Several configurations have been developed to fulfil the specific requirements of various fields of application.
